07:39 am - .: Quotable Quotes :. "... We cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do when they make a determination, if they make a determination, that they're existentially threatened ..."
This was said by Mr Joe Biden, Vice President of the United States of America, on the 6th July 2009; with reference to Israel's likely reaction to Iran. This is the context that he meant to be understood.
With this quote; I will be foregoing any past actions by the USA and see their actions in the future.

04:29 pm - .: The Day I Became an F1 Driver :. It's pretty hot wearing the F1 suit. I can only imagine what its like for the drivers to drive in that suit in a car which has no aircon. The fact that they had their face covered with the helmet meant that they cannot feel the gust of wind as they spin at more than 200km/h!
I want to thank Ivy and the Corporate Communications team from Singtel for the opportunity to try out the simulator. I have a best time of 3mins 30 seconds to complete 1 lap which is based on the Singapore route!

08:37 am - .: Dirrty 3 :. Compared to all previous years, I did not have any big bashes for my birthday. Not because I've joined the ranks of people who don't care about celebrating their birthdays, rather this year, I am on a tighter budget. :P
So, I invited a few close friends, to join me for a meal at LAS (see previous entries about this). For the dinner invite itself, I've made it very simple. Just come and makan. If they want to contribute money, let me know the amount and I will match dollar for dollar and donate them equally to both AFA & Oogachaga. In this recession, we should not just think that we don't have money; other self-help groups also needed them. If we don't help, who will? :|
Anyone on Livejournal can see my birthdate. However, I've removed that option on Facebook! lolx :p - today im officially dirrty3 :D
Alright, so on to the main event. This will be in pictorial form which I've found to be easier to describe as I go along(not to mention that I am rather lazy to write so many stuff cuz i've got a backlog of blogposts to do with regards to my social media involvement!)
( here are the pictures! image intensive. you've been warned! :) )

11:20 am - .: Taking Care of The Old Parents :.
Wonderful short story posted in http://tankinlian.blogspot.com/2009/02/taking-care-of-old-parents.html who got it from www.theonlinecitizen.com A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and a four-year old grandson. The old man’s hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together nightly at the dinner table. But the elderly grandfather’s shaky hands and failing sight made eating rather difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass often milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner at the dinner table. Since grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl. Sometimes when the family glanced in grandfather’s direction, he had a tear in his eye as he ate alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old son watched it all in silence.
One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, “What are you making?” Just as sweetly, the boy responded, “Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and mama to eat your food from when I grow up.” The four-year-old son smiled and went back to work. The words so struck the parents that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done. That evening the husband took grandfather’s hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled. Children are remarkably perceptive. Their eyes ever observe, their ears ever listen, and their minds ever process the messages they absorb. If they see us patiently provide a happy home atmosphere for family members, they will imitate that attitude for the rest of their lives. The wise parent realizes that every day is being laid for the child’s future.
